Empty Bowl Supper 2015 a tremendous success

We were truly blessed to receive an overwhelming response to our Empty Bowl Supper on Sunday, March 29th  at The Front Porch. Over $8,400 (3 times the amount of previous events) was raised to benefit ECHO’s programs to serve those in crisis and poverty in our community. We appreciate our wonderful sponsors Planned Giving Network, Wells Fargo Bank, Allen Mooney Barnes, Taproot Creative, Kathy Fain State Farm Insurance, Accent Office Interiors, and Sandra’s Flower Basket. The generous artists from the Big Bend Potters Guild and Tallahassee Clay Arts donated beautiful bowls and mugs and several artists donated one-of-a-kind pieces for our first ever silent auction. The Front Porch provided three choices of delicious soups and God provided a beautiful evening to enjoy it all.

For the first time this year, several area churches sponsored tables. Thank you to All Saints Anglican, Celebration Baptist, Calvary Chapel, Good Samaritan United Methodist, St. Paul’s United Methodist, and Trinity United Methodist who all filled tables of eight. We hope to have even more churches, guests, and artists join us next year. We appreciate everyone’s participation!

The Tallahassee Democrat included 2 articles, one before (read here) and one after (read here) our Empty Bowl Supper and we greatly appreciate their support as well.
