Homelessness Prevention

ECHO’s Homelessness Prevention program provides payment of up to one month’s rent and utilities for Leon, Wakulla, and Gadsden County residents and is funded by the Big Bend Continuum of Care, Florida Department of Children and Families, and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.  Through stability counseling and intensive case management, we work with working individuals and families who earn an income to prevent evictions, identify affordable permanent housing options, and establish budget thresholds to meet their ongoing living obligations.

Funding is limited, but applicants may apply by completing a pre-screening form and emailing it to ktroupe@echotlh.org or hand-delivering to our office at 548 E. Bradford Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32303 between the hours of 9am-noon, Monday-Friday.
