Homelessness Prevention
ECHO’s Homelessness Prevention program provides emergency financial assistance to Gadsden, Leon, and Wakulla county residents facing the loss of their housing due to an economic hardship or other crisis. The intent of the program is to provide financial assistance for late or upcoming rent payments to enable families and individuals to avoid eviction and remain stably housed after receiving the assistance.
Income limits for rent assistance eligibility
If your annual gross income is less than these limits based on the number of persons in your household, you may complete the form below to request assistance for past due or upcoming rent. Please note that submitting a request doesn’t guarantee approval, but you will be contacted by ECHO within 5 business days to begin processing your application.
Unfortunately, the funding for our rent assistance program has been exhausted for this month and we are not accepting new applications. Please check www.echotlh.org/rent on June 1, 2025 for updates regarding funding availability.
